Hi There, Rivers!

We’re so excited to welcome Rivers Johnson to the Camp Greenville year-round team as our Camp Program Manager!

Rivers brings a strong background in outdoor education and camp leadership, with experience spanning multiple YMCA camps across North Carolina and Colorado. Most recently, she served as a Group Services Director at YMCA Camp Weaver, where she led programming, trained staff, and oversaw aquatics and high adventure areas year-round. Her experience also includes roles in program development, risk management, and adventure-based education, giving her a well-rounded perspective on what makes camp both fun and safe.

Rivers graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Recreation Management and is currently working toward her Master’s in Teaching with a focus on Special Education.

Rivers has a deep passion for creating meaningful camp experiences and developing programs that help campers grow, challenge themselves, and build confidence. Her energy, leadership, and commitment to safety and quality programming make her an incredible addition to our team.

She is so excited to join the Camp Greenville community and is looking forward to meeting all of our campers, families, and staff.

When she’s not at camp, Rivers enjoys reading, rock climbing, paddleboarding, hiking, and spending time with friends playing board games.

We are thrilled to have Rivers on the mountain and can’t wait for you to meet her this summer!
