March 2026 Camper Updates
[This information applies specifically to registered summer camp participants, and was sent via email to registered families on March 2]
Happy March to you and your family! Who is excited for spring to be here? We are!
The flowers and leaves around camp won't make an appearance for awhile yet, but we look forward to them arriving because camp is beautiful this time of year!
There is a lot happening at camp and a lot to share with you. This email is is full of fun camp news, reminders, event invitations, and ways you can support camp.
Day of Giving:
TODAY March 2 is Day of Giving which is the kick off to our Annual Campaign. Each year we raise funds to help ALL campers have the opportunity to experience the impact of camp.
Sidewall Pizza on Cleveland st will be giving a donation of sales to camp for items purchased from 11am to 9pm today. Camp staff and board specifically will be on site from 5:30 to 8:30pm and we would love for you to enjoy dinner if you are in the area!
You can also donate to this year's campaign by using THIS LINK or text ‘YCG’ to 71777 and follow the prompts. A massive thank you to all of those who have supported camp in this way!
Meet Dale, Director of Camper Services
Please join me in welcoming Dale Bond, our new Director of Camper Services and Communications. In the days coming you will be hearing a lot more from her and we will also be introducing you to the new Admin Manager team member soon. I am so excited for this new duo in our communications department. Read more about her HERE
Volunteer Work Days at Camp Greenville:
We have two this year! One on Saturday March 28th and one on Saturday April 18th. Join the Camp Greenville Staff and Board of Directors for one day or two days of service, preparing the YMCA Camp Greenville property for spring and summer programs! We need volunteers! Campers 10 and up welcome to attend with an adult. Click here to RSVP
Easter Sunday at Pretty Place Chapel:
Each year, we host an Easter Sunrise service at Pretty Place Chapel, which is live-streamed online to people worldwide. We host about 200 people in person though and as a registered Camp Greenville family, you're invited!
Spots will be first come, first served until we reach capacity. There is no cost, but donations will be welcome. Breakfast will be served in the dining hall following the service. This is invite only and only for you and your guests. Please do not share this link. RSVP HERE
What's Next?
Here is a general timeline of what to expect when:
March 9, 12pm: Deadline to make changes to payment method for March payment plan installment (this is the last day before our current refund policy changes www.campgreenville.org/faqsummer )
March 10: Monthly payment plans will be processed
End of March: forms launched ( we will notify you!)
March 28: Volunteer Day 1 at Camp Greenville
April 5: Easter Sunrise service livestream on Pretty Place Facebook Page
April email will include weekly themes and summer pre orders/camper care package items
April 10: Last payment of all payment plans.
April 18: Volunteer day 2 at Camp Greenville
May 7: All forms due online.
