Summer 2024 Leadership Staff Announced
The (year-round) leadership team is thrilled to announce the selection of Camp Greenville’s 2024 Summer Leadership staff, who will join us for the summer season as direct support, role models, and leaders to the new and returning summer cabin leaders and program staff.
Division 1 Leader: Katy H!
New to Camp Greenville, Katy will be leading our Division 1 (rising 2nd-4th graders) campers this summer! Katy has worked previously at both YMCA Camp Classen and YMCA Camp Loma Mar.
Katy graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2023, with a Bachelors degree in Recreation Management and Recreational Therapy. Until camp season, she works at YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly. Katy loves to write letters and she frequents the post office for the newest stamps.
Division 2 Leader: Abbey W!
First a camper, then an LDP, and now in her 4th summer on staff and 2nd summer as Division Leader, we are jumping for joy that Abbey is returning to lead to lead Division 2 campers (rising 5th-6th graders) again this summer.
When she’s not at camp, Abbey attends Brevard College, in Brevard, NC, majoring in Wilderness Leadership. She’s recently joined the Cheer team and loves to sit by the creek on campus and enjoy the sunshine.
Division 3 Leader: Grace D!
Coming back for her 5th summer at camp, her 3rd summer as Division leader and specifically her 2nd summer leading D3 (rising 7th-9th graders), all the way from Christchurch, New Zealand, it’s Grace!
When she’s not at camp, Grace works at a local cafe making coffee and “trying really hard not to eat all of the pastries!” Otherwise, she’s dancing, reading, or watching Disney+.
LDP Coordinator: Prosser H!
A Camp Greenville camper, LDP, and now coming in to his 11th summer total and 4th summer as a staff member, we are thrilled to have Prosser in this position, providing his own leadership style toward our Leadership Development Program.
Prosser studies Film and Television Writing at Belmont University in Nashville, TN, where he also works as a climbing assistant at a rock wall. He loves live music, standup comedy, camping, and enjoying outside!
Program Coordinator: Elli E!
A Camp Greenville camper and LDP, now coming in to her 3rd summer on staff. This will be Ellis first year on our Division Leader team, providing leadership to all program areas and support to program-specific staff.
Elli is currently a student at University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky. She’s a political science, history, and paralegal major. Elli loves thrifting and reading in her free time.
Adventure Division Leader: Jarrett “Bobo” B!
This will be Bobo’s 3rd summer with Camp Greenville, but he’s spent many previous summers at YMCA Camp Classen and YMCA of the Rockies. This will be his 9th summer total working at summer camps.
Bobo is studying Recreation Management at Appalachian State University. In his free time, he enjoys riding bikes, backpacking, canoeing.
