Celebrating Spectrum + Stargazers Family Camp

This past weekend, families gathered from all across the Southeast at YMCA Camp Greenville to join the Stargazers and Spectrum Family Camp community! This spring weekend on the mountain offered our families with members who have Down syndrome or Autism a fun and safe environment to have amazing family fun!

Families enjoyed the beauty and adventure of camp with others who understand how amazingly unique and talented we all are in our own different ways. Campers showed courage and bravery while whooshing down the mineshaft slide and/or ziplining across Lake Rotary! They were focused and determined to hit the target in archery and other target sports. They even channeled their creativity and find motor skills in our “Hill Skills” arts and crafts center.

Saturday evening featured a WILD (jungle-themed) Talent Show, showcasing confident and skilled performers. The weekend concluded with a heartwarming Chapel ceremony Sunday morning led by Greg McKee, featuring several members of the community, and culminating with the coveted annual Paper Plate Awards!

Thanks to all who participated and made this weekend truly special. We appreciate you!
