YMCA of Greenville announced this week the positional changes of several leadership team members, including our very own Cory Harrison's promotion to Vice President of Overnight Camping!

The Adventure Guides concluded the 2023-2024 season with a fun adventure packed weekend! A new addition to the program this year was the “Dad Olympics” - a thrilling weekend-long head-to-head competition of common dad-themed challenges. April is Child Abuse Prevention Month: in a show of solidarity, camp staff wore blue to help recognize the importance of families and communities working together to prevent child abuse and neglect, so all kids can have a safe, healthy childhood!

We're sending out a HUGE THANK YOU to all of our Camp Greenville volunteers who helped prepare camp for the spring! Projects included cleaning cabins, cutting wood, power washing, staining new picnic tables and benches, and more!

Throughout March and April, Blazing Trails NC cleared and widened miles of trails throughout the YMCA Camp Greenville property. The widened trails will not only provide an enjoyable and convenient hiking experience for campers and staff, but will also ensure continued safety for campers.

During the month of March, our maintenance and property team, partnering with the Cedar Mountain Fire Department, utilized their expertise to perform a small number of “prescribed burns” on the Camp Greenville property. The Camp Greenville leadership team had the privilege of attending the recent American Camp Association (ACA) conference in New Orleans, a gathering that brought together camp professionals, educators, and advocates from across the country to share insights, strategies, and the latest trends in the camping industry.
