Our Setting

Camp Greenville is located in the heart of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Upper Greenville County, South Carolina. Its 1600 acres of mountain wilderness are bordered by 12,000 acres of State Park woodlands. Our cabins and facilities, nestled among the trees and rhododendron, combine to create a rustic atmosphere, ideal for any mountain getaway. In addition, we have a creative staff that allows us to offer a variety of exciting program options. Whether it's a church retreat or a day-long excursion for the office, the professionals at YMCA Camp Greenville can help to create a memorable and productive retreat or conference.

Symmes Chapel: Pretty Place

Our most famous facility is the chapel, best know as "Pretty Place." This registered scenic attraction offers spectacular views of South Carolina's rippling mountains and sparkling Piedmont. It is an ideal location for worship services, devotions, breathtaking sunrises and other tailor-made ceremonies. The Chapel is available to all groups using our facilities upon prior request.

Accommodations

Camp Greenville has the accommodations to suit the needs of groups from 20 to 200. Our cozy, climate controlled cabins sleep up to 200 and an additional 120 can rest in rustic adventure cabins in early fall and late spring (weather permitting). Each cabin is divided into two or three separate sleeping areas with bunk beds; complete bathrooms are located in each cabin. Selected cabins do provide semi-private sleeping quarters for guest speakers, chaperones, or group leaders. All participants must bring their own sleeping bags, linens, and towels.

Food Service

Our caring and accommodating Dining Hall staff prepares three hot meals seven days a week. Group Camping hosts buffet style dining in a relaxed atmosphere. Vegetarian options and other special dietary needs are available upon request. In addition to our hot bar at each meal, a complete cereal and fruit bar are available at breakfast. A full salad and fruit bar are available at lunch and dinner.
