While web mapping applications (Google Maps, Yahoo Maps, etc.) and GPS (global positioning systems) can be helpful, we would strongly urge you to use caution when using any of these to get directions to YMCA Camp Greenville.

We've had plenty of visitors tell us that the directions from the Internet took them on a really poor route or to the wrong location.

The simplest directions are :

  • Locate Hwy. 276 on a map - it runs between Greenville, South Carolina and Brevard, North Carolina.
  • Take Hwy. 276 to the North Carolina / South Carolina state line.
  • There is a YMCA Camp Greenville sign located at the state line.
  • You will be turning onto a road that has two names (Solomon Jones Road and YMCA Camp Road) because it weaves in and out of both states. If you are coming from South Carolina, you will be turning right onto this road; if you are coming from North Carolina, you will be turning left onto this road.
  • Follow this road all the way out to YMCA Camp Greenville - approximately 5 miles.

YMCA Camp Greenville is located in the southeastern United States. The 1600+ acre campus sits at 3200 feet above sea level in the Blue Ridge Mountains of the western Carolina's. The camp is conveniently located at the the North Carolina / South Carolina border; approximately 1 hour south of Asheville, NC and 1 hour north of Greenville, SC.

Basic Directions: From Greenville, South Carolina or Brevard, North Carolina, take Highway 276 towards the North Carolina/South Carolina state line. At the state line, turn at the YMCA Camp Greenville sign (left if you are coming from the North Carolina side, or right if you are coming from the South Carolina side.)  Follow the road 4.5 miles into Camp Greenville - the road actually dead ends at camp.
