bulletSpencer Howell (Camp Years: 1950, 51, and 52) resides in Coral Gables, Florida where he reports: "When there I lived in Norris Cabin one year, enjoyed hiking, swimming in the lake, and taking Miss Sudie up on her offer to make a blueberry pie if we collected enough berries. Jimmy (James) Moon (Camp Years: Camper 1955-1959 / Camp Counselor 1960-1963) of Piedmont, SC is a Retired Landscape Architect and Educational Administrator/Advisor Greenville Technical College. He reports: "I was a counselor at Camp Greenville during the late 1950's and early 1960's. Before being a counselor, I was a camper for several years. I truly loved the place and still think of the wonderful experiences and life lessons I learned there. Monk & Miss Sudie Mulligan, Luther Marchant, and Billy Keys were all great mentors." Barrie reports that “My fondest memory is watching Monk in the Gym stand under the hoop at one end and shoot the ball through the rafters and pop the net at the other end. Getting up at 4:00am to stoke the fire for the boilers which I forgot ONLY once!” [Updated 4/29/2001]

We lived in Cuba and my older brother was the first one to attend. I followed and then our youngest. It will be a joy to be present at the 90th anniversary." Al reports, "As a young boy I was amazed at the enthusiasm Monk had for his work and the people around him.
